Please answer the following two questions:
1) In the novel, Junior's best friend Rowdy seems to be the exact opposite of him. Why do you think Junior likes Rowdy so much? What purpose does he serve in Junior's life?
2) Is there a value in having a friend who is different than you?
Have you ever had a friend who very different than you? Why did you like that person?

1. I think Junior likes Rowdy so much because he is so different from him. The fact that Rowdy is tough and Junior isn't makes Junior like him because of his toughness. Rowdy's purpose i Juniors life is being a best friend and kind of being his body-guard.
ReplyDelete2. I believe there is a value having a friend who is different from you because you get to learn the various kinds of people in the world and when you have someone who is different from yourself, you get to learn some new things you never knew about, or begin to like something that that person likes. I did have a couple of people in my life that differed from myself and I liked them because it began to teach me how sometimes you should be more out there and express who you are.
